Aktia to support Two Rowing Finns' rowing across the Atlantic

Markus Mustelin and Jolle Blässar are experienced ocean sailors that have crossed the Atlantic many times before. Next autumn, however, the project is different, as this time the ocean will be crossed by rowing.

The Finnish duo – or ‘Two Rowing Finns’ – participates in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge, which is the most demanding rowing competition in the world. By participating in the competition, participants also raise funds for a charity of their choice. Two Rowing Finns have chosen to support the protection of the Baltic Sea.

Carola Nilsson, EVP Private customers at Aktia, sees similarities between Aktia and Two Rowing Finns: “Rowing over the Atlantic requires overcoming one's own borders in very changing circumstances. It requires competence, courage and working together, which are also Aktia's values. That is why it is a pleasure to be the main partner to support this project and the work to protect the Baltic Sea that is important to us Finns.”
